TRUMPS!!!

We got a flyer in our letter box this week saying that trumps had gone missing. Trumps lives at 103 Denison Rd and is a speckled rabbit. There was a sweet photo of him, he was obviously being missed. I decided I would write to trump's family and let them know we would keep an eye out for him. I shared our hopeful story of Taj returning after 2 days galavanting around Denison road munching on herb gardens. Evie and I folded up our little pink letter and grabbed Josie for a stroll down denison road. We arrived at 103 and I noticed that this house didn't look like it had kids. I guess i had kind of assumed they would, I hesitated slightly, was I being a little too weird? Was this a bit like me talking to strangers on sydney transport?
We left it in the letter box and walked home.
That night we opened the door to our friends Matt & Al who were coming over for dinner and noticed a random stranger standing there too. Mike thought it was a marketing guy. But oh the joy when he said he was from #103! We had made a neighbourly connection! George, from Barcelona, had come to tell us that they had found trumps, and think he had been locked in the garage for 4 days... whoops!! He joined us for a drink and then refused to stay for dinner but happily took a takeaway. How fun! Mike showed off he two spanish phrases, i taught George some English- speckled and freckles and he flirted with the idea of cooking us a paella!
Cheers to trumps!

Oh that is a great story.

What are Mike's Spanish phrases?

I am feeling depressed because my parent's in-law built a huge brick wall between our house and our neighbours house, there will be no more sharing food across the fence. I need a new strategy. Maybe I will have to start writing them letters?

Maybe your could march around the wall with a trumpet 7 times... or is it for 7 days? That is sad. I love having a shared driveway too, that helps make friends, and so does looking after each others pets, bins, mail when people are on holidays!
Mikes phrases are something like God bless you and keep you... maybe?
Oh, and have a baby, that makes for lots of easy neighbourly conversations! We put a big pink bow on a front gate to let the neighbours know when Josie was born :)
