Thankfulness

'Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations'
This verse reminds me to be thankful to God for who he is and what he is like. I find myself giving thanks much more often for the smaller things in life. I think i need to lift my gaze and appreciate the greatness of him who made me and sustains me and all things!
I also know that we can come to God with the small stuff and thank God for the small stuff too. This small stuff can mean a great deal to me!
Todays offers of thanks included-
* an uneventful grocery shop- no baby crying or toddler complaining, and all things purchased that were needed. Grocery shopping is a potential meltdown moment for us 3 girls... not that its happened...yet.
*I was also thankful that Evie had a sleep this afternoon, and that I can pretty much guarantee an arvo sleep now if we go for a drive around 2. This makes days much more pleasant and enjoyable for Evie and I. Though it does mean I have a lively toddler at 9pm each night too :) But we don't mind.
Other things I am really thankful for at the moment are;
*the 2 bible studies I get to be a part of- one is all women, one is all teenagers, I love them both,
*God giving me a much easier baby to care for this time around- Yay God! Yay Josie!
* The ongoing fellowship of christian brothers and sisters- meals, chats, gatherings, reflections * spending more time then usual with my extended family this year and getting to know new additions! I also feel like I am getting to know my own siblings much better- very awesome to get to do this parenting thing together!
*getting to know my neighbours (the new trampoline has been a winner for this! We had our very first impromptu playdate with a neighbour- hooray!!!!) and
* our house, it makes hospitality so much easier and our backyard is so good for playing and sustaining good mental health! What a blessing to have the tenancy passed onto us from our christian brother and sister.
Yep, its good to stop and be thankful.
